Hi guys,
As some of you will know, I am a sports photographer primarly. I have, over the past couple of months, been looking at joining the SISLP (Society of International Sport and Leisure Photographers), however I am looking to hear from you guys if it is worth it?
It is £99 for 18 months (when 18 months for the price of 12 is selected), however this does not include the fee for applications for Qualifications. I am looking to apply to become an LSISLP at a fee of £60. For this to happen, you need to be a member of the society, at £99. The time you have sent the CD of images etc etc, you are looking at £170.
From experience and from what you have heard, is it worth it? I would be the only LSISLP on the Isle of Wight, and this would play in my advantage. It would allow me to run some publicity in the local papers.
Any help much appreciated.
