My better half has asked for a picture of her and her sister, which they will have printed on canvas for their mum and dads 25th wedding anniversary.

I've ordered a nifty fifty, it'll be here on Monday and I also have until the 21st June to get some ideas, that's when her sister comes back from university.

I've flicked through Flickr and the gallery on here but nothing really stands out, with them being sisters I was thinking about maybe them stood back to back in the centre of the shot, overlooking a lake or something like that maybe? I'm a little stuck when it comes to portrait style pictures.

Any good advice or suggestions?

Would some sort of triptych work maybe? That way you could maybe have one fairly standard portrait pic and a couple of quirkier ones that it wouldn't even matter if they were facing the wrong way.. pulling faces etc.

After a good read on google on what that means (lol) it seems like a good idea, just not 100% sure how it would look on canvas and it also means that I'd need to find inspiration for several pictures, not just one :'(

do you want them to appear young...seeing as its for the parents.
less arty but lying on a surface. looking at the camera is pretty standard
saw a good one on flickr, lying on a bed of leaves staring at the stars

I think one sat and one standing somewhere out in the country could be nice, perhaps up on the hills with a fantastic view behind, but the trouble is you cant always predict the weather. Both standing back to back is too symetrical to me, but im not exactly an expert so I will zip it :D
