size and resolutin

Hi could someone please advise me on the best size and resolutin for prints say 10x8 or smaller and on computers trying to make all my photos one size many thanks Paul.
 
A 10x8 print @ 300 dps would be 3000x2400 pixels.

Just multiply the number if inches along each axis by whatever DPI you're printing at (usually 300) to find out what resolution image you need for best printing results.

in the camera set at 3000 x 2400 min..
 
Yes i am cofused in cs3 it has width and height what should be these numbers, should these be change, and the resolution is reading 96 is this right

i set the dpi on the top scale for fixed cropping
set the size to 10 inches and 8 inches
you will get a crop box then which i set at the outside of the pic..or cropped size

i have a feeling this is not quite the best way though..:|:dummy:
 
your width and height should be the dimensions you're going to print at and the dpi for print at 6x4 anywhere from 180-300 (resolution)
