Size of top-plate LCD on 5D Mk II?

Hi folks,

A bit of an unusual question, but can anyone give me the dimensions (l x w, in mm) of the top-plate LCD on the EOS 5D Mk II?

I am asking this because I would like to fit a protector to the top-plate LCD on my 7D, but for some reason there aren't any on the market that are designed to fit the 7D exclusively. I'm thinking that if the LCDs are the same size, the top-plate LCD cover for the 5D might fit my 7D.

The listing does state that there is 2 lcd screen protectors....

"THERE ARE TWO PEICES PROTECTORS FOR BOTH LCDs ON 7D
*Custom designed for CANON 7D DSLR ONLY - Do not use on other camera*" as it say's....
 
Why bother?
These screens are tough as nails.

My issued D3 bodies served nearly 10 months in Afghanistan with virtually no marks on the screens - loads of paint scuffed off the bodies though...

Unless you're in the habit of smashing your kit with hammers...

My other hobby is rock-climbing, so my stuff often gets bashed around quite a lot.

Fair enough...sharp rocks might do the trick... I'd still go with a Lowe-Pro bag or some self-amalgamating rubber tape covered in cloth tape to protect it though...
 
Why not cut some polycarbonite to size? small pieces should be cheap enough, I have some some off cuts laying around somewhere if you get stuck (thick though... the PC I mean ) not sure how you attach it though.
