sizing photos

Do you have to size your photo your self or can you just let the company you use do it via there software uploader?

Will I lose quality?

Or can I be lazy and just upload and let the software do it for me.

I always do mine myself

some cropping may occur if you just upload to so you may lose something from the shot

its always best to do them yourself and then you can see how/what will be printed

I have a similar problem, Can i ask how do you size your pictures?? I use photoshop elements 9 at the moment and when i click on resize image i am then stumped as to what measurements to put in.
For instance i need to create a Cd of photo's but im not sure what size to put the photos at so that if the people print there photos from the disc they are of good quality. Any help appreciated Thank you
