Sky HD box playing up...

Viewing programmes is fine but viewing recorded programmes is awfull, the picture and sound keep pixilating and breaking up.

Any experience anyone.

If it records with the same lnb and you watch live programmes more with the other one then I'd be wondering whether that lnb is stuffed.

Usual thing with sky boxes is to switch them off at the mains and leave them off for 10 mins. Then restart and see if the problem is still there if you record a new programme. If so, probably time to ring sky.

As above could be a dodgy lnb on the dish.

Try swapping the feeds to the box over and see if the live picture goes. Then call sky.

Is there a signal strength meter in Sky boxes? If so, you'd see this as bad connection. You could also test by swapping the sat cables from one input to the other. If it is a signal thing, check all the cables are securely in their sockets.
