Slideshow software

Windows movie maker is fairly simple.

I use the Gnome Image Viewer - but with Windows, I think that Irfanview will allow you to change settings such as background (black or white), fit screen and time per image. I think that both programmes will only work on a folder basis. Both are available free of charge.

I also use Proshow Gold. It plugs into Lightroom as well, although I've never used that function. There are lots of templates/slide functions and can download more than what comes bundled. I personally think you have got more control over more settings across the board. You can assign editing software (sound and graphic) to it so you can make your edits to your images/audio in your existing movie without having to properly leave the program. You can download a working demo, but only let's you do 30 second shows and watermarks it. Having used a few in the past, this is my top choice for videos.

Depends how sophisticated you want the results to be.

ProShow Gold / Producer should provide everything you would ever need, however FastStone Image viewer will produce simple slide shows.

Another option is JAlbum if you are hosting on a web site.
