Slight purple patch at high apertures

Have noticed a slight purple patch at high apertures f16-22 on light background shots ie: sky shots when magnified. It is just visible on normal size images but only at high f stops. Bit concerning as it is a brand new D600 and just glimpsed it when doing test shots after blowing out the sensor.
Have seen reference to amp glow but this is pretty central screen about half inch in diameter on normal size shots on the monitor. Not a problem f11 down but wondering if anyone had come across similar?

Can you post some examples? Could perhaps be a large dust particle if you're only seeing it at high f numbers.

I think I've seen a similar thing with my G1 when checking for dust bunnies and shooting a white door at f32. What I see is a smallish circle smack in the middle of the frame that's brighter than the rest of the image, just like vignetting, but I personally just put it down to the extreme aperture and the long exposure time, which was about 20-30 seconds in my case.

In my case it's never shown up in a real world image, but I've never used f32 in a real world image.

I wonder if we're seeing the same thing and if so it's obviously not just a Nikon or Panasonic effect.

Sorry for the late replies only just in from work. Had time to google it and not much info relating to the sensor so as a second thought I googled 50mm 1.8d purple patch and up came loads of threads and images relating to this issue. There I was panicking about my new body but it would seem it is the lens. Apparently it is a known problem that the 1.8d causes a purple/mauve blob from f11 upwards which resembles lens flare. But as always Nikon say it isn't a problem!
