I know tripod questions come up time and time again and I apologise in advance for starting another tripod thread, but having done a search on here, I can't find anything about the Slik Sprint Pro II http://www.microglobe.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?pName=slik-sprint-pro-2-ii-gm-tripod
I am looking for a decentish tripod to replace my old cheapy Jessops one, but one that is small enough and light enough to be taken on a plane as hand luggage; the heaviest weight it would need to support would be my 450D plus Canon 70-300IS. This tripod is only just over 1kg, vs just under 2kg for the Redsnapper, so is more attractive.
Does anyone have any experience of this tripod to recommend whether it is a good one or not? It seemed OK on a quick look in LCE the other week, but I would be grateful for any views that anyone has, or something similar, but not any more than around £70-£80, given my hand luggage requirements as well.
