Slimline external DVD burner?

My optical drive in my macbook pro has never really worked, sometimes it burns CDs but mostly not. Looking for an external DVD burner that is slim, neat but mainly works. USB powered ideally rather than having another power plug.

The macbook air external drive looks fantastic but apparently it only works with this laptop and is not interchangeable between other macs?

+1 for the Samsung, I managed to get a deal on one in blue in my local PC World, bus-powered, works perfectly with every device I've tried it with.
