Small flash for 6D

I am after a small lightweight flash to complaiment eh 6Ds lack of built in flash. I have 580ex but dont want to use that when walking about, holidays, days out etc.

I like the look of the Canon 270EX II but hear its a pit of pain and takes a long time between flashes

What other options are there as I asm not a Conon brand snb
 
I have the 270exii. It complemented my Powershot G12 but it's too underpowered for an SLR. Have you looked at the 430EXII?
 
I have the Canon 90EX that I use for my G15 and G3X primarily, but I have used it on my 6D and 5D3 for indoor use where you don't need a lot of reach. It's not perfect by a long way for a DSLR, quite slow on recharge and certainly not powerful, but it's small enough to slip in your pocket, lasts for a decent amount of flashes between battery changes ( 2 AAA standard required) and you hardly notice the weight on camera.
