I'm going to do some gig photos this Sunday, my current line-up is:
Canon 400D
18-55mm
50mm f1.8
70-200mm f4L
Would it be worth trying to hire a 17-55mm f2.8 or a 35mm f1.4L? The 18-55mm works, but the images are (obviously) lacking in quality compared to the 50 and 70-200.
It will be my first proper attempt at gig photos, so do you think it would be best to give the 18-55mm a chance?
I expect to be able to get fairly close to the stage as it's only a small venue. Not sure about flash usage, I'll check up on that
