Small versatile tripod for low height shots?

I'd like one which can spread the legs out to get lower, and/or a reversible column for hanging the camera underneath.
I like ball heads, and it's for use with a compact, so no heavy load will be used on it.
Budget would be up to £50, but could stretch to a bit more for a good quality make. Would I be able to get one with a boom arm for that sort of money as well?

Even though it's for a light compact, I'd like the ball head to be good quality.

Any recommendations?

Thanks, that looks very handy, but I don't get along with pan and tilt heads, I like ball and socket heads much more.

Comes in on budget and has a ball head.
