I’m looking for a smartwatch that have these four things.
A scratchproof screen.
A good walking step counter,
A good heart monitor,
And a decent app.

I have a XIami watch at the moment. It’s good at the things I want, except the screen. That’s cracked/scratched and has a nick in the plastic bezel. I don’t know how as my extreme sports are, walking the dog, photography and general diy around the house.

Anyway, I have around 100 to spend. I don’t mind a second hand one as long as it’s tough enough.
What have you got that you can recommend around my budget for my needs?

Can highly recommend the Huawei Watch GT5 Pro, built like a tank, with sapphire glass, added a screen protector but not really needed.
You can probably pick up a used one within your budget, or go for an older model.

I've had the Huawei GT6 for 4 months, it's still spotless and scratchless. It does all you could want it to and more. The app is decent though it does spam you a wee bit and you'll have to download it from Huawei since google doesn't like them.

/edit, I bought the Xiaomi S4 watch first and was very disappointed in it, the Huawei is streets ahead..

I had a closer look at that Xiaomi S4 as I have the Xiaomi active watch 5. I like everything about it except how easy it marks.
Happy to be told the s4 isn’t good. I can take that off my maybes now

I have a pixel 9a phone. I was just looking at Huawei Watch fit app on there. The reviews look a bit nasty with an ad popping up after every click of something.

The Huawei Health app is not nearly that bad. just persistent, you get a reminder every few days to sign up for this or that. Not intrusive, just there. The G6 has a host of health and fitness options on it, sleep monitoring, blood pressure and hearbeat etc, even an ECG if you should want it. I'm not a mad fitness type so I just let it count my steps and recently log my bike rides (has a mapping function too), that's about all.

I don’t seem to be able to download the Huawei Health app from their website. It’s like Google is telling me it’s a no no

Yeah, you have to go through a couple of hoops, google is helpful and probably youtube as well.
