SMC Pentax-a 1:1.7 50mm

I read a thread tonight about using manual focus lenses on DSLRs. I hunted through a couple of drawers and found the above on a now defunct pentax slr. Can the lens be used on a Nikon D300 and a Canon 50D and what adaptors would I need?

You need a K mount adapter for either Canon or Nikon.
