Hi all,
This is my first thread on TP. I saw a few vids online about smoke photography and thought I'd give it a go. I improvised with a snooker cue and a model dragon I had sitting on a shelf.
I took these on a 7D with my Canon 17-35mm f2.8L.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks :)
Josh

Well done .

I love 1,2 ,3 and they have inspired me to have a look at this so thanks .

4,5,6 I'm not sure quite work for me IMHO.. might be down to all the detail with the dragon, not sure just seems a lot going on that distracts me from the smoke .

But well done and thanks again for the inspiration .

Another vote for the smoking cue - good idea well captured.
The second dragon shot is great - realistic catch light in the dragons eye.
The two colour smoke trail is works well - is it two colours of smoke or a double exposure shot?

Thanks for the comments :).
As for the two colour smoke it was a single exposure and only one colour smoke.
Though it seems the way the light hits the smoke it colours only parts of it so when you add hue/saturation it seems two colours.
