Easy to keep out of the way , l have no problem as shown in the video. even just hanging down. the video arm is easily removed if that was the case with the setup I use•
The camera strap may interfere with the
movement thus affecting final results.

I think it was on here where I saw someone use a rubber band to help with smooth panning on a tripod
