Hi All,

First weekend at motor circuit with my kit (can't believe it's taken nearly 2 years to get round to it!)

Question is...share you experiences and advice...

Kit I'll be taking will be monopod, Canon 50D, Canon18-200, Canon 50mm and Sigma 170-500mm, and obviously memory cards etc!

Should I need anything else? Where is a good place to stand to get some good Time Attack and Drift shots?

Any else I should prepare myself for?

Cheers

Rob

Russel and the esses are the spots to go for, to get to the esses you'll need to go for a trek over the bridge though

I normally just take my 300mm and a shorter zoom when I go which is plenty

Your coming to Modified live then....? ;)

Cool cos im going to be there this weekend too! fancy meeting up? I've been to Snetty now for about 6 years on the trot watching the touring cars and by far the best place to be is on the inside of the circuit!

If your interested in meeting up then let me know!

Whats a Time Attack ?

Basically single cars competing to get the best lap time for their class, usually done as an open pitlane event. Generally frequented by bonkers jap cars with crazy horsepower

OK

Morning: Outside of the circuit - Esses and the approach to Bombhole. You're not shooting into the sun. Lens requirements from sub 100mm to 400mm depending on the angle. You can shoot on the infield, but I much prefer the outfield angles.

Afternoon: Russells Chicane. Same reason - not shooting into Sun.

They've ruined the Bombhole shot. You can go all the way around the outside of the circuit to the start / finish line.

Another option is the inside of Riches.
