Went down to Snetterton for the BSB at the weekend, it's the first time I've been to the track and I wasn't sure where the best places to shoot from were. I think the 200mm lens I used was a little short for our vantage point but I've uploaded a few anyway.

Nice effort, but you never have enough focal length with bikes, i using 520mm alot and still wanted more lol

no 7 is my fav out of the set
tfs i must get to snetterton this year i see you got some good shots but is it good to get around. and can you get to many corners ?

most corners you need at least 300mm to get close ish Esses and Russells chicane any where else you over 400mm to get close, Sears, and turn 1 are press only we cant get close enough without the hubble telescope.

Some nice race action there - the kinda shots I really like.

From what you are saying about lack of length, I assume these are 100% crops?

None the less, I think you've captured the essence of it, which is always the trick. Nothing worse in my book than a good technical pic with expensive gear of a poor subject - I should know, I've taken enough rubbish pics :D

Yes most are 100% crop or very close to that. I did find Snetterton a little tricky to get to good vantage points for photography, but to be fair I only wandered around half the track.

If you want agreat track for getting close to the action and some great photography vantage points you should visit Cadwell Park ... it has the Mountain too :) although you have to get there very early on practise days to get a spot in the grandstand directly opposite.
