I'm sure Andrew C will have lots of better advice, but the Bombhole is pretty good, the essess at the end of the Revett Straight are pretty good too from memory.

Both sides of the Esses, The Bombhole - however they were digging up the road last time I was there, so might not be able to get all the way round to Coram. Coram is good if you can get to it, first corner is fine for a couple of laps, and the chicane has plenty of oppurtunities if you are feeling lazy.

I am sure someone who knows the circuit better will be along soon, I was passing about a year ago and just popped in.
These were taken between The Esses and The Bomb Hole. There was a mound along the fence, so no wire fencing in the way. Taken at 90 and 100mm.

If you want to get your Bosses car, then you only have a practise session and a race session. Both 15 minutes or so (unless its racing in one of the two endurance races which at 40 minutes gives scope to change locations during the session.

Last Wednesday section on the outfield from the Bombhole round to Coram onwards was closed to spectators. They are building a big earth bank which looks like its to block sound from local residents. They may have finished it, this was a few days ago now.

If its open then this is a good corner and you can shoot through a gap in the fencing from behind the marshalls hut and can then go further all the way round to the start finish line if you want - you can drive round as its a long walk and no crossing point!

If not I would start the morning at the Esses on the outfield section. There are plenty of angles around here ranging from a top down fairly short lens shot just after they come under the bridge to a longer lens shot on the exit of the Esses and the run up to bombhole.

For the race itself I would probably work Russells chicane. This way you're not shooting into the sun.

I'll be there. I can PM my mobile number out if people want to say hi. We're racing too - car 6 in the Monoposto 2000 race (red Dallara F398)

If you've not been before - take a windproof jacket!

i second that!!! bombhole will be closed saturday unfortunately (as it has been for a few weeks now). I'll be there on Saturday also, may see you there. I'll keep an eye out for your car Andrew (rear wing especially!!)

I was at Snetterton last Sunday for a motorbike event. You can get close to the action at a number of points, shots.

My favourite is the Esses, both sides. Russels is best later in the day, as the sun is to the side then.

I can confirm that the track from the Bombhole onwards was closed, but the other locations should be enough.

120-300 will be fine for everywhere. 400 f2.8 a luxury and you could get good shots coming into Russells from Coram or the long shot up the Esses. Do you have a shorter lens for the top down shot at The Esses?

Fortunately there should be sufficient carparking at the Esses not to have to lug the big monster about all day.
