Looking for places in snowdonia/anglesey/north wales no more than about 30miles outside llanberis, preferably easy to get to by car. My thoughts so far are,

- Penmon Lighthouse
- The lake below snowdon (forget its name, with views of snowdon)

I have a nice long weekend there to try out my new D7000 that came today :)

Nantlle if you want to see the gritty reality of North Wales after Industry left. Or if you'd prefer to see the edited and prettified then Nant Ffrancon, Betws y coed etc. Abersoch and Aberdaron at a stretch (The latter probbaly outside your 30 mile radius, about 1.5hours from Llanberis)

Ill give them a look, also I have dolbadarn castle on my list :)
 
Hi jacob,

i'm 99% certain i'll be at Snowdon on sunday, planning a there and back in a day from peterborough so i might be exhausted by the end of it. I'd be interested in where *** suggest you go. the lake below the point is on my route up to the point (yes the name escapes me too..)

lets hope we get good weather... 4 seasons in 1 day up there i'm today.. though does that mean we'll be singing like Frankie Valli i don't know.

Hi Kev,

Lets hope for some good weather, i'm still undecided wether to do a walk and take the camera or fill the car with petrol, whack down the windows and sunroof and go to all the places I have shortlisted

well Jake, i need the exercise.. the fresh air, the scenery and the practise...going to push the button on this one and make it an all day... though the thought of intense sunshine and overwhelming views might be too much
