The Dragon was commissioned by the landowner and was carved with a chainsaw by Simon O Rouke a well known carver and has caused quite a stir in the village as it sits overlooking the A5 Guarding the entrance to Bethesda,as I only live a mile away it would have been rude not to pop along and take some pics......Taken with my Canon 750d and the 28/70 Sigma if memory serves me the ASA was 400 due to it being a dull day

Better than my attempts 2 days ago! I particularly like the last two. Just a note to anyone else intending to visit - there is very limited parking (max 2 cars) on the A5, and a house nearby has had its drive blocked by inconsiderate motorists. It's more fun anyway to walk in from the Rachub side. It is a spectacular piece, and will look better and better as the sawdust etc weathers in.
