Sounds like my kinda Lady.

I would buy us a Hybrid 4x4 that is the most environmentally friendly 4x4 that money could buy.
I've just worked out that, assuming 5% interest in a bank account, if she spent 2.5 million and invested the remaining 33 million, it would earn her (very roughly) £137,500 per month in interest!
No. You have to convert to Canon.
my first thought was much like diddydaves, I'd take out a couple of contracts and move to a non extradition country.
.... keep very quiet about it.
... :/
a saab?
thirty five million pounds and you'd buy a saab?
with 35 million in my back pocket the first thing I'd do is curl one up on my bosses desk
... I could be smug about what I nice bloke I am.
Of which inflation would take care of 2%/year (for the sake of brevity I'll going to assume some people still believe the CPI!) and our chancellor will grab 40% of the remainder.
So out of the £137,500/month, chancellor gets £55,000, and she loses another £55,000/month to inflation. A minimum of £1.4 million/year gone without spending a thing!

I would bribe the admins to change that I hate HDR to HDR Slave.
She'll only have 18 million after the husband who she is separated from but NOT divorced from gets a good lawyer
I'm not rich but I have a SAAB. Always had SAABs since the mid 70's. We have 2 SAABs now. Definitely more up market than a Beamer or Merc - imo
Steady now Gordon! Inflation's calculated over a 12 month period.. so your figures are based on 24% inflation!
No, honest! The calculation is based upon 2% inflation. The inflation devalues the full 35 million, not only the interest gain (although it devalues that too), so the calculation is 2% of 35 million plus interest gain divided by 12 months.
Or are you really Alistair Darling, and trying to "reassure" everyone...?

Whatever I would buy, you could be sure it would fly!
