I've taken a fair few 'close-ups' with the Sigma 18-50 / x2 TC combo to see if I could get into close-up / macro:

Its quite addictive, so I'm on the hunt for a decent 1:1 lens; considering a Sigma 105 DG EX Macro f2.8. Unsure if that's 'the' one to have, or to put others into the melting pot to look out for. Any advice is more than welcome

Looks like that tiny insect could well be some sort of wasp, as-per:

Here's another pic taken, the wasp's OOf because at that point I didn't even notice its presence and was concentrating on the hover fly!
