Evening folks. Any ideas for a soft/fabric neck strap for my Nikon D3100? I've seen them on good old Amazon and Ebay, but not sure if there come up to the mark. ps, not keen on neoprene. Ta.

One of the best things I ever did was get rid of the strap that goes around your neck. I mean who thought that was a good idea anyway :cuckoo: I now use something like this.

I can't seem to find a link to the one I have but what I really like about mine is the fact that the strap actually has a small metal strap built into it. This way no one can come up and cut your strap and take off with your camera. That was important to me because I travel a lot and end up in 3rd world countries where I pro camera can look pretty appealing. Thank goodness I have never had an issue but I feel a bit more secure with knowing they can't grab and go.

Absolutely amazeballs mate. I was a bit weary with it coming from HK and wasn't sure but thought for 4 quid it was worth a punt. Glad I took the risk. Can get some pics up later if you want me to. Woryh the wait too. The exact same strap is £15 from 'uk sellers'

It is a Caden QuickStrap.

i like the optech sling strap. a half decent sling style strap is alot better than the classic neck strap.

I totally agree with pingu. Neck straps will be the thing of the past one day. They are very bad for your back too. The sling strap takes the weight off your neck and distributes it evenly on your shoulder and back. They are also very nice when it comes to grabbing your camera for a shot. The camera hangs right next to your hand making it a natural movement. I have three neck straps you can have free if you want. I will never use them again

Old post resurrected? OP hasn't been on for nearly 6 months, but FWIW I agree about the Optech sling.
