Software CD for Pentax X90 Digital Camera missing, how do I get it please?

Hi I have been given a Pentax X90 Digital Camera but the software CD for it so I can upload pictures from camera to is missing. Please can you tell me how I can get hold of one please? I went into my camera shop and they said I could go to the Pentax site and download one, but I couldn't see any download button at all. I would appreciate some advice. Many thanks.

What operating system are you using? It;s unusual you need extra software to get a modern camera to work as long as you have the USB lead?

I got windows XP home edition. i do have the lead, not the CD software.
 
I think that link just take you to instuction the manaul.

The software you get with the camera is called,Arcsoft Media Impression 2.0 :)

Oops. yup, confused this thread with the other thread on exposure modes..

But once the camera is connected to the PC the easiest solution would be to open the camera storage in Windows Explorer.

Yep don't think connected any of my cameras to a computer,I just used a card reader,find it far easier.

I am not sure if the op want to used the software for editing,that come with the camera on a cd :)
 
How do I make the shutter speed faster, its set at F7.1 on Av at the moment.

See above for link to the manual for your camera.. (post #10).
 
When your on AV mode,you select the aperture and the camera select the shutter speed,to get a faster shutter speed,find the button that let you select your aperture.

Download the link that Alastair put up,and that will give you the complete manual,and their you should find the button you need.
You can alway set it to one of the auto modes to start of with :)
 
You might find that the software you download from Pentax is an update and will require the original disk as part of the install process.

Have you spoken to the place / peson you got the camera from - do they still have it ?

Have you tried phoning Pentax, explaining your situation and see if they can help ?

The friend I got the CD from hasn't got the disk. I could e-mail Pentax, anyone know their e-mail? Sorry to be a pain :)
