Software help!!!

Can someone please help me!!! Ive just bought a 7D went out today and shot just in RAW for the first time and have come home ready to edit and convert using the canon software and im hitting a brick wall :bang:
What am i doing wrong? I am selecting the images and clicking edit or export and coming up with a warning message saying that it cannot export RAW images, i want to cry as ive got some really nice images on that i cant access!!! please help me :)

Shooting with Canon, that's what :naughty:
 
Are you using Zoombrowser or Digial Photo Professional?

Go on the Net and find Faststone image viewer. Thats what I use. Take your card out and bung it in your PC.

I never got the hang of zoom browser.

Faststone ( not fastone) is free and well worth downloading.
 
I downloaded Faststone and its really good, the images are batch exporting and although not at the quickest rate, this is awesome, thank you for helping ease the stress!! :D

I bought a 7D a couple of months ago and often shoot in Raw & JPeg. I have Photoshop Elements 8 -( I understand the PE 9 is now available) - and it edits both of these. Suggest you get this or if you can afford the Photoshop, even better. There are several cheap or free editing software packages around but in general, you get what you pay for - isn't that why you got the 7D? Having a good camera demands reasonable software, so don't cut corners with good equipment - go out and get something decent, you won't regret it.

Have you tried doing the images individually as RAW files are quite large?. As the others say try Adobe instead.

Zoombrowser is for jpegs only, you have to use Digital Photo Professional for raw images. You can use other programs to convert raw like has been mentioned above but I always find I get the best results using Digital Photo Professional.

Also dont forget to download the latest update for it from Canon
