Hi,

This might be a pretty basic question.

The other night I was out shooting a sunset. When i got back to my computer and opened the raw files in ACR some of the clouds were lined with solid red pixels - like primary coloured ed squares. They disappeared when I reduced the saturation or clarity but increased if I cranked it up a bit.

They werent visible when I opened the tiff in photoshop though.

What causes this? I shoot with a D3100 so not sure if it was the limitations of the sensor or something to do with my computer?

Thanks in advance

Not being familiar with your software but I would suspect that these were blown areas which needed recovery.

Have a look at this link, it might but this you are finding, look at the photo of the robin with red squares on his chest, do you mean like that?

Look at the first 2 screen shots, see how the cursor on them has a little tab selected, maybe you have done that ? That is if i understand what problem you have myself
