Some Advice Needed Please

I have just set my 400d,to take Ljpeg + Raw. So could anyone give me an idear,how may shots I should be able to take, useing a 1gig card.

If so put it in and read the number

about 70, theoretically. depends on how much detail there is in each photo as to the final size.
