Sadly I have never seen clearwings in the UK but this trip to Colombia I found a few - not all could be photographed but this one was

I`m sure your glad that spider didnt come out fully, dont think I could have slept peacefully knowing that was in the room.
Some really nice finds there and the beetle looks like some sort of Click beetle.
That clearwing really does look smart

Actually I was really happy to see it, there were so many moths, beetles etc in our room, I barely needed to go out (I did though).

I forgot to some people buy lures to find them in the UK. I was thinking of getting one but they are not cheap about £8 per species

Nice set David. #3 looks especially clear to me. Interesting to get the indication of size with #4. The last one is a fine looking beast.

Thanks I should have said that the hornet moth is on my trainers so you have an idea of how big it is.
