I like this

I'm not keen on the fringing around the edges and the blown out tip on the right hand bottom leaf, but the concept works well.

I spent the afternoon trying to come up with some inspiration, and as soon as I saw this pic I thought "bu**er, I could have done something like that"

Not really my sort of stuff this Adam, but I've looked for this back lit leaves shot a few times and not really found the shot I want yet. :shrug:

I like it, but can't help thinking it needs more of a contrast between light and shade. A darker background would have helped perhaps?

I've seen others do this beautifully but I tend to struggle with the highlights against leaf transparency every time. I try a darker process, the fringing will just get worse I feel, tis mostly breeze blur.

Well the leaf fringing is down to the back lighting so nowt wrong with that anyway.

Taking your points on... not to worry about the fringing and more contrast ...which initially I thought may detract from the original gentleness.

I like it but I do find the fringing less acceptable now. ... Best I go back and try again. ...laters, though.

Second one works for me Adam - contrast and colours are stronger and better imo!

1st for me mate, think the processing of the 2nd has improved the colour but lost a bit too much detail in the leaves - its personal preference really - if I'd not seen the 1st, I imagine I'd really like the 2nd :shrug:
