I had an e-mail from Lovegrove Consulting part of which was marketing the new Lovegrove Flash Bracket. I may have spent some hard earned money on tosh in the past but £55 for this? I had a quick look around and the Manfrotto 482 mini ballhead is around £23-£25 retail so this little spigot (for want of a better word) is £30.

Would you buy it?

I wouldm't buy it but then I just screw the base of the flash into the ball head on my tripod.
I was thinking of getting the legs for my monopod base incase I needed the tripod or required two flash units mounted.

I just use one these to mount m Speedlights on tripods. Works fine and they're cheap. I just hooked it up to a cheapo Jessops tripod and it means I've got full 360-degree rotation

Ah, do you not get one of those with the flash?

The only bit that doesn't look like a Manfrotto part is the coldshoe, even so it's still only about £35 worth all in, including VAT, in fact I think I have everything to cobble one of those together in my lighting bag...
