Some quite austere landscapes

Been in a really bad mood today, although I'll be damned if I can figure out why!

Felt drawn to process some of my bleaker Peak District shots. These probably won't be to everyone's taste - in fact, I almost feel like I've processed them to be deliberately unattractive

Thought I'd share anyway!

#3 for me as well. #2 is my favourite from the runners up - probably the foreground tree saves something; it restores the balance between background pine plantation and the middle ground tree, if you see what I mean

It's always pleasing to revisit shots you weren't that impressed with at the time and find some you like afterall

Love 'em.

There's much to be said for the kind of shots that NEED you to look at them.

Sometimes it's a refreshing change to have to look closer rather than have one particular subject smack you round the chops....subtle!
