.. including welsh rally championship media day, Riponian, Malcolm Wilson rally, Rallynuts, Plains, North Wales, Border Counties.

When you are in such fantasticly scenic places and have so many good photos/locations it was really hard to distil this down to so few and with such a variety of shots it was hard to decide which to post!

Edit: Seems I can only post 6 images at once (sure that didn't used to be the case?) So might post a few more later :)

Great shots, and nice to see some that aren't cropped in so tight there's no context to see where the cars have come from/going to. 3 and 5 are my favourites from this set, though I do have a soft spot for a Mk1 Escort. It does look as though you have a spot of sensor dust visible in the sky in #3 which could be easily cloned out :)
 
Excellent set, can't pick one as being any better than any of the others really. Nicely composed and processed.

Thanks, I didnt spot that dust spot but I am concious of the risk of getting some - especially given changing lenses in dusty conditions.

i once tried to clean my 20D and seemed to make it worse. I ended up getting a pro to do it, but cleaning services weren't that wide back in 2005...!

So I've never even attempted it since. Need to look into it.

In terms of the tight crops, I think you'll find these are probably my tightest, in some of the others the car is probably 10% of the shot if that....

On a recent event 2 other photographers walked past me standing on a bank, past my remote camera (not one of these shots) and one said "whats it like". The other said "its just a shot of the car in some scenery really" implying it wasnt that great a spot. I thought to myself, great - thats exactly what i want - something different to the constant close crop opposite lock shots everyone does....
 
Few more. A couple of these were taken with my remote camera, an old 7D Mk1. I notice that the only event I've not posted an image from is the Malcolm Wilson. Must have been pretty uninspired by those shots, or so it seems!

Some really nice shots there. I quite like the wider shots showing the cars in the surrounding area than just close up.
