Nice selection there, definitely helps having access to the active parts of the airfield on the arrivals days for those unique angles.

It was nice to be able wander down the taxiway heading from one RIAT store to another with the D200 slung over my shoulder. There were probably 6 of us who at the end of the working day (usually Wednesday & Thursday) would jump in the minibus and drive from top to bottom of the taxiway getting the shots in before all the blue cones were put around the static aircraft.

Also nice to be driving around in the little golf carts trying not to get run over by a Hercules

Knackering work though with good benefits. During the week, we were onsite for 09:00 and off for 18:00 basically preparing all the official RIAT merchandise tents and getting all the stock sorted and counted. The weekend seemed to last for ever.

Brekkie at 05:15, minibus at 06:15 and stall open for 07:15 ready for the rush of customers. Offsite at 20:00 and loads of beer. Well catered and watered during the week though so will be definitly be taking part in 2008.
