Some suggestions RE: Website...

How do i make it so that the first page when people hit my site displays the gallery? (Ive installed NEXTgen gallery if that helps)
 
to start with just look at the wordpress.org site, there are thousands on there and they are all free...!
 
OK.

You need to basically create an album with a few galleries in it (bear in mind on next gen gallery and album appear to be the wrong way round to what we might think).

Then put the next gen code to display the 'album' in the column, page or post where you want your gallery .

Try this:

[album id=x template=extend] or [album id=x template=compact]

Decided to persue my website more in the direction of a traditional blog, updating it as and when new content arrives :)

So what do people think so far?

I have indeed, didn't think it would make any difference if I only used one user? Do you think its worth me transferring to single user?

Nice one cheers :) From what I could guess, I would presume with it being scaleable, it shouldn't matter about MU version with one person as I doubt its doing anything extra. Strain would only show when multiple users were active?.. (Pure guess based on fragmented logic :p)

You like the look of the site though?? WP is very very new for me but Im already liking it :)

Yeah I like the site, looks good :)

From a brief (very) skim I can't see any reason there would be any more overheads, it's just a case that the backend is different and might cause you hassles, depending on what plugins you use... I dunno, might be fine!

I wouldn't bother to change it unless you need to tbh :)
 
Ok finally settled down to a nice theme, added a hit counter and now have posts appearing fairly often, we like?
