3,4 and 5 are great IMO nice work!! What's your set-up for this sort of stuff?

Cheers

pics 2+3 are stunning mate well done, the b+w really suits them.

Thanks for the comments guys. My setup for this kind of image is a 1d mk2 and tamron 11-18 inside an spl waterhousing.

The hosuing is specifically designed for surface shooting and is fully metal meaning it is pretty much bomb proof which is useful when your being dragged across a reef somewhere

No.4 for me again! Stunning!

like number 3 my fave out of them all

Nice shots! Where's #6 looks like a sick wave, dunes look like France, or maybe Hayle!?

Just.... Wow! 5 is defo my favorite. The colours are amazi.g really nice work!

Yeah 6 is VVF in france. Was absolutely pumping that day but i was bricking it. Was solid 6 foot with people getting stand up barrels everywhere, was crazy just being out there and watching it but the scariest swim in and out I have ever had.

Cheers for all the other comments guys, interesting seeing how everyone likes different ones!

Nice! Nothing quite like the pounding of a French shorey! I've got an old EOS 3 SPL housing I'm adapting for my 7D, haven't taken it out yet, find it hard to resist the temptation to actually surf if it's half decent!

You get that on ebay with a 15mm fisheye? I use a 1d mk2 in mine which is nice, i reckon if you grip your 7d it should fit ok, its super fun in the water would recommend it to everyone who likes shooting surfing. I am just about to ship my spl back to the states to get a new dome port, excited to shoot fisheye for the first time!

Yeah that's the plan. Came with a dome port and a short flat port, but my Tokina 10-17mm sticks out too far to use the dome, I guess the 15mm Fisheye is a bit shorter.

Heading down to Sennen tomorrow and the surf's small so might grab a foamy or two and take it out.

Current setup requires a tub of hair wax for precision placement!

My giddy aunt! Some cracking shots here. No mean feat captururing these!

Love them all, my favourites are 2 and 3. The have a real sense of movement and I love the monochrome tones. Great see and sky framing the subject really nicely. I struggle to be creative on terra firma, you've managed it from the drink, just great!

haha love the hair wax in it, i have also seen people just put a harder foam in underneath the body if the housing is too big so could try that too if it wont fit with a battery grip.

Looks like there is going to be some solid surf next week which will be fun for shooting, few beatings is always good haha. If you end up not keeping your tokina fisheye let me know as i will be after one in the next few weeks. The 15mm is a really nice lens too, you should put some film in that eos3 and take it out you will get some epic stuff with that and the 15mm.

Again cheers for all the nice comments everyone.

Ah didn't get the EOS 3 with it, but been watching a few on the 'bay if one comes up cheap enough I might grab one.

Tokina may be for sale soon as I'm considering trading the 7D for a 5D Mk2 will let you know!

For me number 2 is stunning. Love the composition and the shape of the surfer.
