Hi all,

I've had an email from a student in a local school/college, who is in their final few weeks of studying.
The last few weeks are centered around work experience, or visiting universities to decide how you take your interest further.

She mentioned that she didn't want to go to university so is looking for work experience, or a few days learning how the business side of photography works.

I'd like to help, but really I don't know if, or how, I can.
I don't own a studio, all my work is visiting homes for photoshoots.
And I'm still learning myself.

Is there any way I could be of help? I didn't study photography at college. I'm not sure coming on a homeshoot would be of any benefit. :help:
Any advice? Apart from reccomending the TP forums!!

Thanks

djs

I do this for a few friends, just giver her the camera and see what she can come up with.. you never know!!

also bear in mind that the college/school health & safety officer will want to check your workplace. suprising how many placements fall through when employers are told this.

There is a lot of stuff that needs to be put in place for an official work placement through school or college, but if this is a personal thing, sure, set it up. Just be prepared not to get any much work done for the duration, everything will take longer, and it's hard work. But it can also be very rewarding too. I take on at least one work placement each year.
