Somerset Stages Press Day

As I mentioned late last night I was lucky enough to blag an invite to the Somerset Stage Rally Press Day. It's a PR event for the press and sponsers to get a ride along a stage. Unforunately as I was a last minute addition I wasn't on the insurance list so no ride for me. Instead I had to settle for snapping away as the cars whizzed by at 100mph

My first time shooting motorsport so I kind of made it up as I went along, mostly 200mm, ISO 400 @ around 1/1600s to try and freeze the grit, etc.

You must have used the 70-200 L , but what settings did have and on the 30 D

I was shooting ISO400 in manual mode around 1\1250 or 1\1600 @ f/5 for the most part. AF servo with only the centre point active.

Nice and sharp, very good set of pics, I aggree about some crops being slightly tight, but thats just me.
