Lovely surprise, photographed my 1st last week ... took me by surprise but they were flitting amongst the brambles :)
 
Spotted a pair last week but didn't have your luck Bill, nice one.
 
I think the Bg works quite well with it Bill,nice clean sharp shot.

I would take it if it landed on my path, as everyone knows they are a devil to photograph in a gorse bush, or any other bush for that matter.
 
I see them, (only ever a single bird), every year just near one of the barns maybe a 100 yds from the house, they hang around in the front "garden"

They always just ignore me ........ this time I was just walking by and it just flew very near me and started hunting around

They only seem to come out in the sun, there is a cold wind blowing today

Great to see and i managed my first this year after many years of seeing a arse end disappearing a speed :shifty:
Bit better eye detail on the first one but (y) for getting any shots of these.
 
Nicely captured, I saw a couple of these last week whilst out, was a real treat!
