Taken yesterday at the National Trust's Bodnant Gardens in the natural surroundings I used my A300 and Tamron 75-300mm I slightly boosted the saturation in iPhoto but only very slightly :) all C&Cs welcome

2nd one is lovely, nice idea for the 1st however it is looking a bit soft, the 3rd is spoiled by that leaf. (y)

I suspect that the 1st is a heavy crop, if so try a less drastic crop it may improve the sharpness (y)
 
thanks martyn :) actually the only editing i did was a slight boos of saturation I was just really close to it

Rudy ... could be shallow depth of field, especially if you were close and shooting at f5.6, worth aiming to be at f7.1 if you can to increase your depth of field.

I ran a quick sharpen on your image, gives it a bit more punch, it would be better done on the original before re-sizing, but it shows what can be done.
