sony 100mm macro

hi all,

im after a macro lens and decided to go for the tamron 90mm but i have recently notce that sony have a 100mm macro lens and i was wonderng if its any good and if its worth justifying the price?

I know I add this to every sony macro thread but find a secondhand minolta 100mm macro - you wont be disappointed.

The Sony 100mm (or the Minolta 100mm of which it is a rebadge/cosmetic facelift) is very good but tbh there aren't many (any?) bad Macros from any of the main manufacturers.

yeah thats why i am getting a tamron 90mm it just was wondering how good it is.

I have a sigma 90mm lens and I must admit im happy with the results.

I too wants the sony 100mm but i just couldnt really spend that on a lens when I was offered the simga 90mm for 1/4 of the price

well i wouldnt mind spending the £500 pricetag but only if there was something special that would be worth the extra £250.
