Hi guys,
did anyone buy this new 1.8 lens already? Any comments on that lens?
I'm about to buy them and use as a protrait lens, but not sure if I should better wait 3weeks and get that new 30mm Macro lens instead? Price is pretty similar - £130 for 1.8 and £150 for macro. I know macro is 2.8, but I could use them for portraits and macro. 1.8 sounds better for indoor photos without flash, so there is my dilema..
Or should I just buy both?:)

30mm on APS-C = 45mm in 35mm terms which would generally I think be considered a bit short for portrait work?
50mm gives you 75mm in 35mm terms & you get wider aperture for lower light, less DoF.

Well, I guess best option will be buying this lens for portraits and in the future getting one of macro lens, like Tamron 90 or sigma 70, 100mm...

Did anyone here try this 50 1.8 SAM lens?
