Sony A300 - any good?

I have been offered a Sony Alpha 300 and 18-70 and tamron 55-200 for £250. I'd probably get it it, but it would end up being my brothers! Is this a good camera, I already have a couple of Sony lenses so my brother wouldn't be short on that...I don't know, any views would be much appreciated.

I had one before its good yes although if you don't need liveview the A200 is exactly the same!

hmmm didn't ask about shuttercount, but its mint no scratches but no box. TBH, I don't want to start worrying about shutter count, I had a D50 and after 2 yrs I had run up nearly 50k, and it was fine. Another thing I daren't even start thinking about is the micro focus adjustment often need for canons - agggg!

Fantastic deal, jump on it! (as long as it's in good condition)

It's basically the same as the A200 (which I have) but it has live view. I'd highly recommend the camera. I love mine

tks for the advice guys, I have 'signed along the dotted line' but won't be getting it till late this week/early nxt week due to EXtremly low balance.
