Yes
Ive been looking at cameras as Im wanting to upgrade from my A230 and cant decide which I prefer. I am quite liking the A500 and A550 but on argos you get the A380 and 2 lenses for the same price of the above camera alone.

Can anyone give me help on the above the cameras?

i would say that the A380 isn't much of an upgrade to your A230..so i'd say go for the A500/A550.the 2nd lens you'll get with the A380 will only be a basic one,so only worth approx £150-ish anyway[assuming it's something like a 70[75]-300].

i dont want a used one as i cannot afford to replace/fix it if it breaks i need new one so i can have insurance on it and the a700 is £700 +

what lenses do you have at the moment as the upgrade may lie in the lenses and not the body itself, you should try out the 30mm f2.8 macro and 50mm f1.8 as these two will go perfect with the a230 slim design.

The A380 is the A230 with a bigger sensor (still CCD) and live view, but essentially the same camera.

The A5xx has a CMOS sensor, bigger ISO range, faster continuous advance at 7fps vs 2.5fps, the option of a battery grip (the A380 doesn't AFAIK) and a sync socket for studio type flash. There are probably other differences as well, those are the ones I know of.

I've not used either camera so can't compare their performance.

How about continuous to use ** A230 and get better lenses?
Also what lenses have u got at the moment?
