it depends ....
If you use Live view then Sony's DSLR Liveview is the best on the market by far for taking pics of moving subjects & the movable rear screen is obviously very good for akward shots. The downside is that Sony's LiveView system compromises the optical viewfinder a bit.
Otherwise it's pretty capable - decent AF, image stabilisation in the body etc.
Main caveat seems to be ergonomics but that's pretty true of all bodies - some suit you & some don't.
why are you feeling unsure now?
Is this your first DSLR?
If so out of camera pics from DSLRs are usually less processed in camera so initially don't look as good as many from compacts but the image potential & flexibility is far greater - you just need to do more work to show it.
