Sony A500 help

Hi

Does anybody know if there is a mirror lock up function on the Sony A500, I have looked through my manual but can't find anything.

The A500 does not have a mirror lockup function I'm afraid.

MLU is only on A100, A560, A580, A700, A850 and A900

iirc it's not possible with the shutter /mirror assembly that they used.
& they probably used that assembly because they felt that 90+% people using that level of camera wouldn't use it if they had it.
in other words it was a cost-cutting measure.

Methinks its time for an upgrade! I believe Sony are about to launch a new range of cameras that have Canikon shaking in their boots!
