Morning all,

A little help needed please :help:

I have a Sony A55 and have heard I can reverse a 50mm Minolta lens and create a reasonable Macro effect.

Does anybody know what I need to do this and also what Minolta lens will work the best.

I guess I need one with a stopping down ring on it.

Thank you

Max

Reversing filter ring and a 50mm lens, I used the mc Rokkor 50mm 1.4 and 28mm, has adjustable aperture on lens so ideal. I was very happy with the images I got from the setup, shot at about f11-16 and used on board flash (gasp).

Photobuckets softening the pics but here ya go.... from memory most were taken with the 28mm so you get more mag than with a 50mm. Handheld, onboard flash. No PP.

About 2-5" I guess, gotta be close with reversing. Got lucky that day, they all just weirdly sat still for me. Id highly recommend reversing as a cheap method of macro to start with.
