Sony a6000 prices question

I'm about to buy one of these but there is something I need to ask. It seems like models with kit lens (16-50mm) are cheaper than body only. Why is that?

As above it is often the case that kits are much better value!

That's great then I thought there were some differences between the bodies as sometimes they are marked as a6000, a6000l or a6000y. I only need body, so it's best to get the kit then sell the lens

Maybe, but I think that a standard kit lens is always worth having if it's a good deal. You can always use it as a good light day out lens or just put it in our cupboard and if you need it once or twice a year it's there waiting.
