My Sony 6300 gives this message: "Camera Error. Turn power off then on." I googled the problem & there are pages of people with this fault on a lot of different Sony camera models, going back 6 years that I could see. It seems it is a stuck shutter. It would seem it is a 'known problem' for it to be going for 6 years. Whatever Sony won't acknowledge it. I contacted Sony who want a non refundable £54-00. They quoted £100-00, but I'm afraid that when they look at it, they then come up with a higher price, that I would not think worth repairing, so I would lose another £54-00 on top of a useless camera, so more good money after bad. Is there a good repair service for Sony other than their own?
